Is it possible to have a allergy to yogurt?

5 comments so far

I've noticed that after I eat yogurt my face starts to itch. It is usually with the peach or strawberry yogurt. I've stopped eating yogurt but is it really possible to have an allergy to it?

It's possible. If there are artifical flavorings, preservatives, or coloring, that are in the brand you buy, they could be the cause of itching.

Some people are allergic to yogurt, for instance me. Basically yogurt contains a certain percentage of milk in it, which makes me lactose intolerant. I eat yogurt, and I get cramps. Never liked yogurt that much anyways. But yeah, there can be a number of things in yogurt that can make you allergic to them.

    Honey,

1.Yogurt is a dairy product, many people are allergic to dairy.
    2.Yogurt is also cultured bacteria.
3.Strawberries are high on the allergen list.

My suggestion is to avoid all yogurts. There are other ways to get the same nutrients.
