IBS, gastritis, ulcers, that time of month…women only please?
3 comments so farOkay, here's another annoying health question! I was diagnosed with IBS like a year ago but that was before my labs came back to show that I had the h. pylori bacteria (which is the cause of 90% of today's ulcers)… so now I'm not sure if I ever really had IBS or not but have had a lot of intestinal symptoms throughout the years. That's not my real question though…
Since this infection affects the lining of your stomach and your acidity level I was wondering if anyone who has had ulcers in the past has been sensitive to OTC pain meds. Months ago I looked up the symptoms of gastritis and had many of them. I know that ulcers cause sensitivity to meds in general but during that time of the month, I have to take Ibuprofen to help with cramps and back pain. (It's the only time I ever take pain meds.)
After the first couple of days of my period, I feel a lot worse inside and am wondering (from those of you that have experienced what I have) if you have had the same experience.
I go to the doctor for a check up Tuesday.
if you IBS, THEN YOU HAVE ibs. if have Ppylori, then thats what you have. ulcers are in the stomach. IBS is in the intestinal track, small and large if your discomfort is from the navel up, which is your stomach thats ulcers, take extra strengh GAVISGON, NOTHING WORKS LIKE THIS. IBS is when your small intestinal tract spasticsizes in to knots, cramping feel. just ask your doctor for a rx. called LIBRAX. this will eliminate all the cramping in the GI tract. This Librax is an antispasomadic relaxer, and is quite effective.
Now, when you take IBUPROFEN to much of this rx. will make your stomach BLEED, where is your DR.
WHEN YOU GO SEE HIM, GET A SCRIPT. FOR LIBRAX, 3XS ADAY,QUINITY 90 PILLS, 3 REFILLS. THIS WILL ALL YOUR BACK ACHE AND ALL YOUR CRAMPS, AND GET RIDD OF YOUR ADVIL. YOU WILL BE A NEW WOMEN SOON!!!!!

yes, pain meds can definitely reek havoc on your stomach. looked for the coated type… especially if it's coated with malox.
