Why are there so many questions in the ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE category about prescription and otc drugs?

This is a section of alternatives to the normal accepted way of doing things. Go learn how to toxify your body in the general healthcare section.

People tend to miss out the “ALTERNATIVE” written before medicine and think that this section has to do with prescription medicine or over-the-counter medicine.

I believe that there should be a moderator for the section and non-related questions be moved to the correct section. Additionally there should be a section for homeopathy alone and non-believers or haters be blocked from this section.

The sad thing is that you actually said to yourself that this was an intelligent post.

Your question is a good one. The added bit makes you look like a twat. Sorry.
Ever been in Current Affairs? It’s like a chatroom at peak times!
You are right though, people probably interpret alternative as something different and not a different view of how things work like they tell you they do. They could rename it Complementary Medicine and that might shift a lot of the confusion.

Good question! I am pretty new to this website and had wondered the same thing.
My interests are both in Health section and Alternative section.
Many people these days do not have much money to spend on prescriptions so they turn to Alternative approaches, if there are any.

Perhaps that is the reason for so many Rx questions and OTC queries.
